The Hottest New Treatments: TrapTox and Masseter BOTOX

SMOOTH AND SLIM THE NECK AND JAWLINE WITH BOTOX

One of the hottest trends recently (and for good reason) is “TrapTox,” using neuromodulators like BOTOX on the neck. By strategically injecting these neuromodulators into the upper regions of the trapezius muscles of the neck, TrapTox can reduce tension, improve posture, and promote a slimmer, more swan-like neck profile. This innovative treatment not only enhances the aesthetic look of the neck, but also can help provide relief from neck and shoulder pain, relieving tension and discomfort commonly held in the neck and shoulders. Say goodbye to tight, overworked trapezius muscles and hello to a more relaxed, pain-free you with TrapTox.

Another remarkable new treatment is Masseter BOTOX, a non-surgical cosmetic procedure designed to reshape your face while providing relief from teeth grinding and its associated discomfort. By injecting BOTOX directly into the masseter muscles at the jaw's angle, this treatment relaxes overactive jaw muscles, resulting in a slimmer and more angular facial structure. Beyond its cosmetic benefits, Masseter BOTOX alleviates the painful symptoms of Bruxism, reduces facial tension, and enhances overall facial aesthetics, offering a comprehensive solution for both wellness and beauty concerns.

BOTOX Recovery

How soon does Botox take effect?

Immediately after your BOTOX treatment, you may have multiple bumps along the treated area where it was injected. These generally subside within an hour. Some patients may get minor bruising at the site, but that is typically not the case if prepared properly. To ensure ideal healing, you should wait at least 4, preferably 24 hours, after the procedure prior to using makeup or moisturizers in the treated area. BOTOX tends to take effect within a few days, gradually increasing until two weeks after the initial treatment. In our office, we like to see our patients for a follow-up visit at the 2-3 week mark to see how the patient has reacted. At that time, your provider can evaluate your results, plan future treatments, and add more product (if needed) to maximize your desired result.

How Long Will the Results Last, and When Do I Need to Re-Treat?

Botox Results AND AFTERCARE

The paralysis from BOTOX should last about two to three months. However, the wrinkle-reducing effect can last longer. In the crow's feet area along the sides of your eyes, wrinkles may reappear in two to three months. Re-treatment is recommended when wrinkles remain, even though your face is relaxed. This may be as long as six months for the brow areas but typically around three to four months after your prior treatment. Treatment should not be repeated sooner than three months.
