the latest and safest techniques for permanent makeup
Our permanent makeup specialist at Hass Plastic Surgery brings the latest and safest techniques for permanent makeup application to residents in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Palm Beach, Jupiter, Wellington and the surrounding areas of Florida
Permanent makeup is a cosmetic technique which uses tattoos, or permanent pigmentation of the dermis, as a way to create a look to resemble makeup such as eyeliner, lip liner, full lip color and eyebrow hair. Cosmetic tattooing is often requested to enhance facial features, camouflage scars, create areola and nipple color after mastectomy surgery, and in some cases used for those who have pigmentation variations. Our permanent makeup specialist, Jeni Brown, at Hass Plastic Surgery is fully certified and well experienced in safest and most up-to-date techniques for permanent makeup application. For those tired of applying makeup, or those who have lost eyebrow hair through aging or even looking to correct color loss from a medical condition, benefit from cosmetic tattooing or permanent makeup.
At Hass Plastic Surgery the permanent makeup procedures are performed in our comfortable medical offices which provide for safe, sterile conditions allowing the aesthetic professional to use digitally controlled devices and disposable needle cartridges. Patients should come properly prepared for their permanent makeup application, but should know they may have some redness, swelling and minor tenderness post procedure. There are no known allergic reactions to permanent makeup pigments nor are there any long, or short term, side effects.
We suggest patients avoid drinking any caffeine or sugar prior to their procedure, as they may make the skin nerve endings more sensitive and prevent the topical numbing from doing its job. We also request that patients stop anti-inflammatories and blood-thinning products, such as Aleve, Motrin, ibuprofen, and aspirin, as well as vitamins, for five or more days before the procedure. These products will thin the blood and possibly cause more bleeding, swelling and bruising. Patients should allow about two hours for their procedure, depending on the being treated. During the cosmetic tattooing application, temporary drawings are done so the patient will have a full idea of the shape and color of their permanent makeup prior to getting started.
Permanent makeup results can last a long time, but results are truly individual to each patient. Many patients report their results lasting at least three to five years before a touch-up is needed. For some patients, results of their permanent makeup treatment can even last up to 10 years before needing to be touched up. Again, it is individual to the client and seems to be based on the patient’s skin type, the area treated, and the color or shading used to achieve desired results.
The cost of permanent makeup treatments will depend on the extent of the areas you are considering. During your consultation with our specialist, she will assess your beauty goals for the cosmetic tattooing and evaluate your skin, and any past history of having had permanent makeup. At Hass Plastic Surgery you will be given a customized assessment for your permanent makeup plan that fits your goals and your lifestyle.
