Microblading in Wellington & West Palm Beach, FL

The team of board-certified plastic surgeons at Hass Plastic Surgery & MediSpa offers microblading to residents of West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, Palm Beach, Wellington and the surrounding areas of Florida.

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo technique used to create the illusion of fuller brows. Instead of using a tattoo or permanent makeup machine, our aestheticians use a small handheld tool to manually draw the hair strokes. The individualized hair strokes drawn with the microblading tool produce much more natural-looking results than permanent makeup or traditional makeup can produce alone.

How Much Does Microblading Cost?

The cost of your microblading treatment will depend on the extent of treatment necessary to achieve the ideal result. During your consultation with our team, we will provide an individualized assessment and give you a clear breakdown of costs.

What Do I Need to Do to Prepare for My Microblading Treatment?

We suggest patients abstain from drinking caffeine or sugar prior to their procedure, as these products can make nerve endings more sensitive and prevent the topical numbing from doing its job. We also request that clients stop their anti-inflammatories and blood-thinning products, such as Aleve, Motrin, ibuprofen, and aspirin, as well as supplemental vitamins for five or more days before the procedure as these will thin the blood and possibly cause more bleeding, swelling and bruising. Most patients do not experience much swelling, but this will be based on the individual, how they prepared and the area being tattooed.

How Long Does Microblading Last?

Microblading is not a permanent treatment and will not last as long as permanent or tattooed makeup. Although microblading techniques are somewhat similar to regular tattoo inking, the color is not placed as deep into the layers of the skin, which means the effects can and will fade over time. Most professional aestheticians will tell you that your microblading treatment may last anywhere between 12 months and three years before a touch-up is needed. This will depend on the patient’s skin type and skincare routine.

How Often do you Have to Touch up Microblading?

Once the pigment from your microblading procedure begins to noticeably fade, you’ll need to come back in for a touch-up application. Some patients may find they want to touch-up color within six to 12 months. Other patients may be able to go as long as two years before having to touch up their microblading results.

Is Microblading Painful?

Microblading should not be painful. Topical numbing cream is rubbed into the treatment and is allowed to sit for about 20 minutes. Once the procedure has begun another numbing agent will be applied to allow for continued comfort to the patient. Following your microblading treatment, you may experience some swelling, redness, and tenderness around your brow. This is normal and will typically resolve on its own after just a few days.
